What geographic regions do you operate in?
We operate 100+ communities across Africa with strategic focus on regions with strong solar resources and energy demand. Our 2026 expansion targets 50 new sites in alignment with regional development priorities.
How does the financing model work?
We offer flexible payment plans adapted to household and enterprise cash flows, concessional financing for initial connections, and revenue-sharing arrangements that benefit communities. Our financial model combines $5M equity, $10M debt, $2M grants, and $3M concessional capital.
What is the meshgrid technology?
Meshgrid is our decentralized peer-to-peer solar network architecture that operates without centralized dependencies. It enables energy distribution directly to communities at scale, with local control, transparent governance, and community benefit capture.
How do you measure and report impact?
We measure impact across social, economic, and environmental dimensions, with explicit focus on gender equity and women's economic participation. Our partners—InfraCredit, REA, AfDB, GIZ, and Clean Energy Fund—validate our methodologies and outcomes.
